How does one leave a legacy?
Leaving a legacy is making a positive impact in the workplace, family, church, a charitable organization or a combination of these areas. It starts with looking at your passions and creating a plan geared toward the value you bring.
Like a businessperson creates a mission and vision, an individual can do the same to build a legacy or long-term impact. A way to secure these ideas and set a long-term goal is through an estate plan. If you have never considered an estate plan, this method can leave a legacy with family members, family businesses and charitable organizations.

Inland Christian Home and thirteen other individuals and organizations were blessed by the estate planning of George and Susan De Boer. Living a full life together for 52 years, George and Susan were committed to their ventures traveling with friends in their fifth-wheel camper and serving as part of the church community. Many in the Chino area knew George for his career in Holstein genetic services for over 200,000 cows of dairy business clients during his career.
George and Susan’s example inspires ICH to continue paying it forward in our community. How do you get started with estate planning? Contact Bethany Wiekamp, the Director of Fund Development at Inland Christian Home and she will refer you to a trusted, local estate planning attorney to help you navigate the process.
Like George and Susan, adding value to those around you is a powerful way to leave a lasting legacy. Their goal reached far beyond themselves and made a positive impact on the lives of many.
This schedule coincides with communion at CrossPoint Church. Services begin at 9:30 am on the first Sunday of each month with refreshments served after the service. Our goal is to bring this service to everyone who desires to attend, including those unable to join in person by continuing to offer live streaming.
The sense of community and togetherness that live church services provide is invaluable to the ICH community. The sessions that started earlier this year have been well attended with nearly two dozen residents of Assisted Living and Independent Living regularly joining, and as many as thirty-two worshippers attending at once. It is our hope that attendance will continue to grow as the community learns about this valuable service.
