Keeping residents engaged and involved is key to their success and, at ICH, we are blessed with a talented team of Activities professionals who keep life fun and interesting at all levels of care.

Skilled Nursing

The Skilled Nursing team continues to provide a daily calendar of activities along with in-room visits. In addition to routine activities, they also help the residents enjoy holidays with festive celebrations for Cinco de Mayo, St. Patrick’s Day, and Mother’s Day and plans are in the works for an outdoor barbecue this summer.

Assisted Living

Cassidy Adams, the Activity Director for Assisted Living, is looking forward to hosting fun summertime events like a carnival and a luau. She has recently been joined by Debbie Morrison, who led AL activities for several years before retiring and is now back to bring fun activities to Independent Living.

The Haven

The Haven has recently added a new Activity Director to the team, Julianna Burruel. Together with the rest of the team, Julianna keeps the memory care residents involved with an activity program curated for their specific needs. The Elder Grow Program, a unique indoor gardening program, has returned following a pandemic-induced hiatus, and the residents are now back to therapeutic gardening once a week. They are also getting regular visits from volunteers, including a guitar player who visits every Wednesday to bring song and rhythm to our residents’ lives.

The Haven is also opening its doors once again to Day Care residents, a service that had to be placed on hold due to Covid-19 precautions. As we move forward with returning to normal, we look forward to welcoming members of the local community who need daily care and supervision in order to remain safely at home with their loved ones.

If you are interested in volunteering with one of our activities departments, please contact one of our directors to see which unit might be a good fit for your skills by calling (909) 983-0084.
