Imagine walking into your home after a complete transformation – everything looks brighter, fresher and more inviting. That’s exactly what happened here at Inland Christian Home. With a vision to make our spaces more open, modern and accessible, we embarked on a remodel that took our living areas from functional to fabulous.

It all started with a simple idea: What if we could open everything up?

The Vision: More Space, More Light, More Connection

For years, our kitchens, dining rooms and living spaces were separate, making it harder to move freely and enjoy time with family and friends. But what if we could change that? What if we could create homes that felt more spacious and welcoming while improving mobility and accessibility?

That’s exactly what we did.

“The biggest change was making it a more open concept from the kitchen to the dining and living rooms, making mobility and in-home socialization more accessible,” says Inland Christian Home Executive Director David Stienstra, reflecting on the transformation. “We just opened up the whole area, making it brighter and fresher.”

Out went the walls that once divided the space. In came wide-open layouts, allowing natural light to flow effortlessly from one room to the next. Now, cooking in the kitchen no longer feels isolated from the rest of the home – it’s part of the experience, seamlessly connected to the dining and living areas.

The Makeover: A Fresh, Modern Feel

Beyond the layout, we upgraded just about everything else, ensuring that each home feels like a brand-new space.

  • New Stainless-Steel Appliances – Sleek, energy-efficient, and designed for easy use, these modern appliances make everyday cooking and meal prep a breeze.
  • New Countertops and Cabinets – Stylish and practical, these upgrades provide better functionality while adding a fresh, updated look to every kitchen.
  • New Carpet and Flooring – Safe, durable, and beautiful, our new flooring enhances comfort and ease of movement.
  • Fresh Paint – Lighter, brighter and more welcoming, our updated color palette makes every space feel warm and inviting.

With every detail, the goal was the same: to create homes that are as easy to live in as they are beautiful.

The Construction: A Team Effort

Of course, making these changes didn’t happen overnight. It took careful planning, hard work and a lot of teamwork to bring this vision to life. Construction teams worked tirelessly to minimize disruptions while ensuring every upgrade met our high standards.

Now, the dust has settled, and the results are clear. This isn’t just a remodel – it’s a complete transformation of the way our residents live.
