There’s nothing like walking into your home after a complete transformation – everything looks brighter, fresher and more inviting. That’s exactly what happened here at Inland Christian Home. With a vision to create spaces that are more open, modern and accessible, our remodel took our living areas from functional to fabulous.

For years, our kitchens, dining rooms and living spaces were separate, making it harder to move freely and enjoy time with family and friends. We wanted to change that and design homes that felt more spacious, welcoming and accessible.

“The biggest change was making it a more open concept from the kitchen to the dining and living rooms, making mobility and in-home socialization more accessible,” says Inland Christian Home Executive Director, David Stienstra. “We just opened up the whole area, making it brighter and fresher.”

Spacious, Welcoming and Accessible Homes

Out went the walls that once divided the space. In came wide-open layouts, allowing natural light to flow effortlessly from one room to the next. Cooking in the kitchen is no longer an isolated task—it’s now part of the experience, seamlessly connected to the dining and living areas.

We upgraded just about everything to ensure each home feels like a brand-new space. We added sleek, energy-efficient stainless-steel appliances, stylish and practical countertops and cabinets, and new flooring that’s safe, durable and beautiful. The updated color palette brings warmth and brightness, making every space inviting to create homes that are as easy to live in as they are beautiful.

Transforming these homes didn’t happen overnight. Careful planning, hard work and a lot of teamwork brought this heartwarming vision to life. Our construction teams worked tirelessly to minimize disruptions while ensuring every upgrade met our high standards.

Now, the dust has settled and it’s clear this isn’t just a remodel – it’s a complete transformation of the way our residents live. No more feeling closed off from loved ones while cooking. No more struggling with tight spaces or outdated features. Just beautiful, open and functional living areas designed with you in mind.

If you’re looking for a place where comfort meets convenience, where modern design meets effortless living, we would love to show you around our newly remodeled cottages in the Independent Living area. Come see the transformation for yourself. You might just fall in love with your future home.
