Since 1972, Inland Christian Home has provided quality, individualized care to seniors in a Christian environment.
Inland was founded in 1978 by a number of local churches. The mission of the community is a reflection of the founders’ heritage of faith and values: to provide quality, individualized care to seniors in a Christian environment.
In 1972, the first board was formed, which proceeded to name the community Inland Christian Home. On January 10, 1973, 9.75 acres of land were purchased. Through donations and much prayer, the funds were raised to begin the construction of the community. Two years later, the first 8 cottages were complete and the first residents moved into Inland Christian Home. The organization continued to build, and in 1979, the construction of the Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Dining Room, Kitchen, and Administration was complete. Over the years, the community continued its expansion, which included the addition of the Courtyard Apartments, Mountain Apartments, Fountain Apartments, and Memory Care.
The history of Inland Christian Home is filled with people who have dedicated themselves to the efforts of providing Christian retirement and healthcare services for seniors. It also reflects the founders’ faith in God to provide answers, and their unrelenting efforts that have continued to this day through the generations that followed them.
Why non-profit?
Inland Christian Home is proud to operate as a non-profit organization, and it is for this reason that many choose to call our community home. This status means that we are driven by purpose rather than profits. We do not take shortcuts to improve our bottom line or satisfy investors. Instead, our volunteer Board of Directors focuses on perfecting every detail of our operations to make it a great place for our residents to live. This goal is furthered by taking the revenue we earn and reinvesting it right back into the community. Redistributing our revenue allows us to significantly offset costs for residents and their families.
Our Levels of Senior Living & Care
Inland Christian Home provides many different levels of care. These levels include Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Adult Daycare, and Skilled Nursing. Our aging in place concept allows residents a choice in how they receive care and encourages them to live as independently as possible with the lowest required level of support or care. We want Inland to be their home, a place where all are treated as individuals and given choices in the way they live. The availability of different levels of care and services, on the same grounds, offer some very unique advantages. Residents may continue to reside in the community even as their abilities change, achieve peace of mind knowing that their needs are met, and remain close to their spouses, friends, and family.
Our Qualifications
Inland Christian Home is licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) by the Department of Social Services. A CCRC must follow specific standards set by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), providing our residents additional assurance that they are living in a well-managed community.
