3-Way Thrift Continues to Support the Inland Christian Home Community

Inland Christian Home is proud to continue a long-standing relationship with 3-Way Thrift Stores, a local organization that supports the facility through generous donations. Inland identifies specific projects each year to ensure these funds go toward improvements across the campus. Recent donations have funded a new outdoor dining area and the next project will be a state-of-the-art electronic medical records software program called Point Click Care that will greatly improve the current system used in all levels of care.

In the past these donations have funded projects such as new garage doors in the Independent Living apartment basements, new flooring in the Assisted Living, and upgrading the resident call and wander management systems in Skilled Nursing and the Haven Memory Care.

3-Way Thrift Stores was established to provide much-needed services to the community, including raising funds for local organizations like Inland Christian Home, Ontario Christian School, and Salem Christian Homes, splitting proceeds equally three ways. Since first opening in the early 90’s, 3-Way Thrift Stores has provided more than $3 million in donations to these organizations with $150,000 donated to Inland Christian Home for the year 2021 alone.

By reselling gently used items, the thrift store also provides valuable services for the local community. Previously owned items are given a new home to customers who need an affordable option to buy goods, and they also provide employment opportunities and valuable work experience.

3-Way Thrift has two locations, one in Chino and one in Montclair. Donations are accepted Monday through Saturday, from 8am to 12pm at their donation center located at 5242 F Street in Chino. They accept items such as clothing, books, sporting goods, and household goods. For a complete list of what is and isn’t accepted, please visit their website.

They are always on the lookout for caring volunteers to perform valuable functions such as donation processing, cleaning and pricing merchandise, and assisting in the showroom. If you would like to volunteer with this incredible organization, visit their website to fil out an online application.

Caring for people is a community effort, one that results from everyone doing their part and trusting in the Lord for guidance. By working with wonderful partners like 3-Way Thrift, Inland Christian Home is able to carry on its mission to provide quality, affordable, individualized care to seniors in a Christian environment.
